Shop often?

For those of you that shop regularly (once a week) another good app is Shopkick.  It can be downloaded from any of the app stores by searching Shopkick or you can use this link http://get.shopkick.com/danville45087 .  With this app, you earn points simply by walking in to a store.  To easy, right??  But there are even ADDITIONAL ways to earn more points.  The points you earn can be turned in to gift cards or you can even donate to charity!
It's simple to use and I will take you through the different ways to earn.  The easiest way to earn is "Walk-Ins".  In order to collect "walk-in" points, you need to have your data and your bluetooth turned on.  In participating stores, a signal is sent through the speakers in the store that the bluetooth picks up.  Upon entering a store, open the app and leave it open.  Where it registers the signal in the store varies, some are immediate and some you have to walk in 30 feet.  If your phone is having trouble registering the signal, they recommend standing directly under a speaker near the entrance of the store.  I will admit that there were a few stores that I could never receive the signal in.  Once the signal is received, you will receive notification by the app; it will give you a green circle with a checkmark and welcome you to the store.  That's all there is to it, you've just earned points.

The second way to earn points is to scan items while in the store.  Not all retailers offer this option but when they do, it's worth taking advantage of.  Once your phone has registered the signal from the store, click on "Kick Scans" for the store you are in.  A list of items will be presented and as you are shopping and pass by them (or you can go out of your way to find and scan them if you have the time!) click on the item and scan the bar code.  Sometimes you will be asked a simple question or two (like are you/were you planning to buy this item or were you aware of this item prior to your shopping trip, etc.) and then you receive the points.  Again, it's that simple.

The third way to earn points is "Kicks for Purchase" but again, not all retailers offer this. You can link your debit or credit card and based on how much you spend in that store, you can earn extra points.  Unfortunately, you can link all the different cards you use to shop at the stores you frequent.  Again, could it be any easier?

Now let's talk about the fun stuff, rewards!  They have a large selection of gift cards available, from Walmart to Tiffany $ Co., and the amount of the gift card is determined by the amount of points you spend.  After redeeming your points for a gift card, it will be located on your phone and all you have to do is have the sales clerk scan it from your phone.  Currently they also have 2 charities you can donate to, The Red Cross and Feeding America.  You only need to redeem 100 points in order to donate to them.   I personally have accumulated 2311 points in approximately 6 months and redeemed for several Walmart gift cards and made several donations.

Another super easy way to earn free stuff at a place you are going to be at anyway.  Why wouldn't you do it??
