Short and sweet.....and $$$$

Sorry, sorry, so sorry I am late on posting! It was a crazy busy week and time got away from me.  But I'm back on track and ready to help you get some extra cash!

Do you shop at Walmart?  I shop at a combination of Walmart, Krogers, and Remke Markets.  I typically buy produce and meat at Remke and/or Krogers and purchase everything else at Walmart.  While you may know that they have an app for Android and iPhone (honestly, who doesn't have an app now??) you probably didn't know that their app can make you money.  Using the app, you can scan the QR code on your receipts (or scan or enter the barcode number or "TC" number manually if your receipt doesn't have one) and they will do price checks with competitors in your area and give you back the difference, usually within 48 hours.  All you have to do is touch the Savings Catcher, scan new receipt and then scan. The app does the rest, compares prices of the competitors for you. No more shopping at different stores to get the better price!  The money goes in your account and you can cash it out at any time for a gift certificate to use at Walmart, which can be emailed to you for printing or just have them scan your phone at check out using the app.   It literally take seconds to do this and you make money!  I have even received an email a month after submitting a receipt stating I received additional money back due to a sale at a competitor!  You won't get rich doing this but I have accumulated approximately $70-$80 in the 9 months I have been using the app!  Give it a try!

As a bonus this week, I'm including a recipe for a bundt cake that I just made that was super delish! I know that during the craziness of the Don't forget ladies, Girls Night/Origami Owl Night tonight at my house. Stop by to browse, shop or chat or feel free to stay the whole time! I'll have some wine and beer, some apps and treats! 6-8pm. Text me if you need the address/directions!holidays, free-time becomes scarce.  Make this cake for your holiday parties in no time.  This cake is made with minimal ingredients that you may already have on hand! I love bundt cakes because they are so easy to make (no frosting, if needed all you have to do is make a glaze and drizzle over!) and look fancier than just a sheet cake.  Enjoy!

Cinnamon Sugar Bundt Cake

  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1 small package vanilla instant pudding
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 4 eggs
  • cinnamon sugar (I made about a cup of this mixture)
Mix everything together (don’t over-mix). Spray pan with cooking spray (I coated my pan with butter). Coat with cinnamon sugar (make sure you coat it well – it helps the cake come out easier and coats it with a crusty deliciousness). Pour batter in pan. Put cinnamon sugar on top. Bake at 325 degrees for 45-60 minutes (I was closer to the 60 minute mark).  Cool and invert cake from pan onto a serving dish.
